BPS wins Qatar Cricket Association Under-14 girls tournament

DOHA BIRLA Public School became the proud winner of the QCA Under-14 Girls Cricket Tournament after beating Pakistan Education Center in the final. The tournament, organised by the Qatar Cricket Association in Doha, began on April 1 and concluded on April 25.
Hiral Agarwal of BPS was the star performer in the final. She smashed a superb 68 runs and took a wicket, playing an instrumental role in her team’s victory.
Pak Shama School also played well and took the third place.
Mr Manzoor Ahmad, General Secretary of the Qatar Cricket Association, presided over the closing ceremony and gave away the prizes in presence of members of the women’s committee and sports teachers.
Apart from Hiral, there were other special awards for players. Santhiya Kandaraja of Birla Public School was adjudged the best batswoman for scoring 106 runs in the tournament.
Khadija Ahmed of Pakistan Education Center was outstanding throughout the tournament.
She picked six wickets to win the best bowler’s award and was chosen as the best player of the tournament as well.
