OCS GROUP, United Kingdom’s largest family-owned international facility management company with $1.1 billion turnover, on Tuesday announced a joint venture (JV) agreement with Tadmur Holding to start operations in Qatar.

This will be the company’s first operations in the Middle East and will be know as OCS Qatar.

The joint venture will enable the company to provide 80 sustainable facility management services of the international standards in Qatar. These services are set to serve several industry sectors.

OCS’s partnership with Tadmur Holdings brings the number of countries that OCS operates in worldwide to over 30, marking the global company’s presence in Europe, Australia, the Americas, Africa, Asia and now the Middle East region.

Commenting on the joint venture, OCS Group CEO Chris Cracknell said, “This partnership is a key part of our international growth plans. Qatar’s success and stability, its fast expanding market along with the growing demand for total facility management solutions and our proven capacity to meet those demands.” Tadmur Holding CEO Dafer Hallawa, who is also the board member of OCS Qatar, expressed confidence in the partnership and its potential to expand the level of services available in the local market.

“With ten successful subsidiary companies, I am certain that there is enormous opportunity to jointly leverage the existing Tadmur businesses with the new OCS facilities management business,” he said.

He said OCS Qatar will be well-positioned to take advantage of the enormous infrastructure spending Qatar has set aside for the next five years.

Illustrating Tadmur Group’s strengths Hallawa said, “The group has a team of 4,000 employees serving the Qatari construction market. Since its inception in 1985, Tadmur Contracting, a subsidiary of Tadmur Holding has to its credit the distinction of completing construction projects including Qatar Airways Premium terminal at Doha International Airport, Doha Women Sports Club at Aspire Zone, Qatar University’s Central Library and the iconic Student Centre at Qatar Foundation.” OCS Qatar General Manager Robert Craig said, “Tadmur has incorporated its real estate property management and maintenance services along with the logistics soft services division, uniting them with OCS’s full portfolio and this will definitely result in a range of new and superior service lines to meet market demand.”
