Emir, Sheikha Moza grace Unctad expo

DOHA THE Emir His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al Thani and Her Highness Sheikha Moza graced an exhibition at the Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC) on the occasion of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (Unctad XIII) on Sunday.
HH the Emir and HH Sheikha Moza toured the exhibition and examined pavilions representing a number of ministries, organisations, as well as government and private institutions. They were briefed on the projects being implemented in the development sector and towards achieving the goals of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
HH the Emir met with several world leaders including Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev on the sidelines of the meet. During the meetings at the QNCC, they reviewed topics listed on the agenda of the conference as well as issues of mutual interest.
HH the Emir welcomed Tunisian President Mohammed Moncef Marzouki and the delegation accompanying him to the Al Wajbah Palace.
Marzouki is in Doha to attend the Unctad conference.
They discussed bilateral relations and the means to enhance them and also reviewed the schedule of the Unctad meet. HH the Emir and HH Sheikha Moza also hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of the Tunisian president.
Meanwhile, President of Comoros Ikililou Dhoinine and his accompanying delegation left Doha on Sunday after taking part in the Unctad conference.
