Doha Olympic bid!
THIS is with reference to your report, “Sheikh Tamim presents Doha 2020 Olympic bid.” The bid was made special by HH Sheikh Tamim when he said that ‘it is on the behalf of entire Middle East and North Africa region.’ This statement ensures that there will be celebrations all over the region if Qatar wins the bid to host the 2020 Olympics and the Paraolympic games.
After winning the bid to host the football World Cup, this bid has again brought the gulf state into limelight.
Qatar will become the ‘real’ sporting hub not only of the gulf region but of the entire continent once it wins the bid.
Moreover, the timing proposed also is excellent. It would be pleasant here in Doha and I hope I would be one of the spectators.
