 | QIIB profit rises 10% to
QR175 million in Q1 QATAR International Islamic
Bank (QIIB) on Sunday
announced that its net profit
increased 10.4 percent to
QR175.5 million in the first
quarter of 2012. Net profit of the
bank stood at QR158.9 million
in the same period last year.

US TREASURY Secretary
Tim Geithner said on Sunday
said that US unemployment
numbers, which stalled earlier
this month, could resume
their decline ahead of
November´s election in which
the economy will top voters´
concerns.
"If the economy keeps
growing at a moderate pace,
then, yes, more people will be
back to work and you should
see a gradual reduction in the
unemployment rate,"
