at the ´Doha´s 1st Hip-Hop
Challenge: The Ultimate
Dance Showdown´ held at
the Philippine School Doha
gymnasium on Friday.
The dance contest was
organised by the ´Events and
Beyond´ to raise funds that
would benefit the World
Vision Philippines, a nonprofit
charity organisation
which sends thousands of
poor children in the
Philippines to school.
After a series of qualification
and elimination rounds
P-KRU, a seven-member
Filipino dance group, won
against the M2CD, another
all-Filipino dance group at
the final showdown with a

another significant milestone
with the loading of the
1000th LNG cargo from the
Common Lean LNG Storage
and Loading Asset. The
cargo, bound for Elba Island,
Georgia, USA, was safely
loaded from LNG Berth 4 on
the Q-Flex LNG vessel Al
Khattiya.
The Common Lean LNG
storage and loading facilities
are built to store LNG produced
by the six mega trains
at Qatargas (Trains 4, 5, 6
and 7) and RasGas (Trains 6
and 7) and load Q-Flex and
Q-Max ships in addition to
conventional ships from
Berths 4, 5 and 6 and the
Qatargas ships loaded at
LNG Berth 3 for customers
across Asia, Europe and the
Americas.

Qatar (TAMUQ) officially welcomed
the ´Omega Chi Epsilon´
(OXE), the American National
Honour Society for
Chemical Engineering, at a dinner
ceremony on Thursday.
The society recognises top
engineering students and
graduates for their chemical
engineering achievements
while promoting their success
in the field.
Twenty-five TAMUQ chemical
engineering students
were initiated at the campus´
first initiation ceremony.
Dr Mohamed Nounou,
associate professor of chemical
engineering and OXE faculty
advisor, said that he
joined the OXE at TAMUQ´s
main campus in College
Station, Texas, in 1995.
