Dubai on Wednesday organised
a special appreciation
function for its partners
including representatives of
the travel and tourism industry
at Four Seasons as part of
its four-day roadshow, which
concluded on Thursday.
About a dozen representatives
were presented with
certificates of appreciation
on the occasion.
A raffle draw was also held
on in which 12 persons
including representatives of
the travel and tourism industry
and media won attractive
prizes including stay in
Grand Millennium´s branches
in London, Dubai and
Doha, among others.

Teachers, students and
university professors have all
joined together to volunteer
for many different roles and
responsibilities. These
include filling the conference
bags with all kinds of goodies,
directing conference participants
where to go,
preparing certificates for all
the attendees, and introducing

300m-tall Torch Doha Hotel | FIFTY-YEAR-OLD Alain Robert, nicknamed
the French ´Spiderman´, left
spectators speechless on Thursday as he
ascended the 300 metre tall Torch Doha
Hotel without the use of a safety rope
and harness in a record time of one hour
33 minutes and 47 seconds.
In an attempt to set a world record,
Robert climbed the structure in the
presence of Guinness World Records
representative and thousands of audience.
A natural-born athlete, Robert
wowed onlookers as he lithely scaled the
hotel.
After the climb, Robert said, "I wasn´t
scared but there were a lot of factors
that made it extremely difficult for me to
reach the top of the Torch, including the
