Center (QUWIC) officially launched
an innovative air quality monitoring
system (HAWA´AK) with the commencement
of a field trial at Qatar
Science and Technology Park
(QSTP) in the Education.

| | ´Spiderman´ to climb Torch Tower on April 12 | THElegendary Alain Robert,
a French skyscraper climber
nicknamed ´The Spiderman´,
will climb the Torch Doha
Hotel Tower for the first time
on April 12. Robert is currently
preparing for the
ascent and will scale Doha´s
highest building without a
safety rope and harness.
As he performs the unique
climb of Doha´s iconic 300-
metre-tall tower, the
Guinness Book of Records
representative will be present
at the exciting event.
Additionally, Alain Robert´s
production team will be
shooting the Torch ascent as
part of Alain´s life documentary
in 3D, planned to be
broadcasted as a movie in
cinemas around the globe.

Inter-Hotel Mini Beach
Olympics 2012 which starts on
Tuesday.
The five-day event aimed
at promoting camaraderie
through sportsmanship
among the hoteliers in the
country was inaugurated
through a ceremony held at
the InterContinental Doha,
the year´s Olympics host, on
Monday.
The participating hotels
include Diplomatic Club,
Four Seasons, La Cigale,
Oryx Rotana, Renaissance,
Ritz Carlton, St. Regis, W
Hotel and InterContinental
Doha. Their representatives
will compete in swimming,
beach soccer, beach volleyball
and 2-km run to be held
