| The Violence Card |
EVER since the culture wars of
the 1980s, Americans have been
familiar with "the race card" -
an epithet used to discredit real
and imagined cries of racism.

Hong Kong restaurant offers 10-course Titanic dinner
DPA
HONG KONG A Hong Kong restaurant is to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic by offering the same 10-course dinner served to first-class passengers just before the passenger liner sunk.
The meal for eight costing almost 2,000 US dollars per person will also feature a rare bottle of 1907 Heidsieck Monopole Gout Americain champagne.
The Hullett House restaurant, which is offering the dinner for the first time on Saturday, sourced the bottle from those salvaged from the wreckage in 1998.
Waiters will also wear uniforms like those worn by staff on the Titanic and the meal will be served on plates designed by William Brownfield & Sons.
“The idea is to recreate the ambience on the ship,” the executive chef Philippe Orrico said.
