SCH takes part in Gulf conference

DOHA THE Supreme Council of Health (SCH) is taking part in the 3rd Gulf Conference on Adolescents and Youth Health 2012 currently taking place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The conference is being held under the theme, ‘promoting societal partnership for adolescents and youth health’.
The conference, due to finalise its proceedings on Tuesday, discussed several topics including the current situation, strategic contexts for adolescent and youth health as well as the roles of partners in the government and private sectors, civil society institutions, and both international and regional organisations in this field.
Participants also feature studies and experiments in the adolescents and youth’s health field and disease risk factors facing this age group.
They will also present important life skills to empower adolescents and youngsters on their role in improving their health in addition to developing the skills and abilities for individuals providing them with services.
