KPMG gives Dutch delegation tips on setting up business

DOHA A STRONG business delegation representing different industries and sectors from the Netherlands was in Doha recently to further broaden the trade, investment and cultural relationship with their Qatari counterparts and explore opportunities of setting up ventures.
The delegation comprised of representatives from different industry segments. A team from KPMG made a presentation on ‘Doing Business in Qatar’ to the delegation at the Aspire auditorium.
After the initial welcome address by the Dutch Ambassador to Qatar HE John Groffen, KPMG Qatar partner, Gopal Balasubramaniam talked on preferred business structures available for the companies intending to set up business in Qatar, the distinct advantages of different options and the formalities for incorporating an entity in Qatar.
Mark Rebello, director in taxation practice at KPMG, dealt with the features of Qatar’s new tax law and also the tax regime at QFC.
The presentation was followed by an interactive question and answer session.
