Qatar to attend global meet on women’s sports

DOHA A SENIOR-level delegation of Qatar Women Sport Committee (QWSC) is scheduled to take part in the International Conference on Women’s Sports, to be held in Abu Dhabi on April 10.

The two-day conference will be held under the slogan ‘Sports: Health and Happiness’ at the Emirates Palace Hotel.

The event will be attended by prominent local, regional and international sport personalities associated with women’s sports. It will be the first of its kind in the Middle East.

The conference will be held to help emphasise the significance of practising women’s sport activities, reflect the role of practising sports in improving the physical, psychological and social aspects of women’s lives and reflect the importance of using sport as a lifestyle.

It will also emphasise the role of women’s associations in encouraging practising sport activities, and increase awareness among women.
