DOHA DEPUTY Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs HE Ahmed bin Abdullah al Mahmoud presided over the weekly Cabinet meeting held at the Emiri Diwan on Wednesday.

Later, giving details of what transpired at the meeting, the deputy PM said that the Cabinet discussed topics tabled on the agenda and made the following decisions: First, it approved a draft law on the Social Health Insurance. Second, it allowed taking of necessary measures for the issuance of a draft law on the autopsy of human bodies after taking note of the Advisory Council recommendations on the draft law. Third, the Cabinet put its stamp of approval on a decree extending the period of guarantee by the government of Qatar of some Qatar Airways covenants.

It also approved the draft second executive programme of the economic, educational and information cooperation agreement between Qatar and Kuwait for scholastic years 20112/2013, 2013/2014, 2014/2015, among other issues.
