Watch out before colouring your hair red!

IT’S been the flavour since the past year, with the likes of Rihanna prancing all over the stage in the Rock in Rio tour - her hair dyed matador red, Bryce Dallas Howard flaming it up with her locks and both Scarlett Johansson and Eva Longoria getting sexy with red highlights. If you are keen on going their way, remember it’s also important to get your make up right with the look. Experts reveal beauty tips for redheads..
Lips that match: Says Clint Fernandes, “Keep it on the neutral side - shades like nude, peach and brown toward the skin tone - helps, because the hair is loud.” Skin tone and eyebrows: “Use moisturiser and keep it simple, lesser tint works. Also try and keep the skin matte than glossy.

Very slight sheer bronzer may turn down redness,” he says, adding, “Keep the eyebrows lighter or use a brown masacara on it.” Hair: “Use a colour protector in the conditioner as the sun is too harsh, or it will go into the fluorescent orange,” he warns.

Cat eyes: Says Marvie Beck, “Try the classic cat eye effect with red hair - use a crisp coffee bean brown or then a matte black next to the lashes in it. It looks flirty and fun,” she says.

Cheeks: “I’d use brownish peach tint on cheeks to go with this kind hair or perhaps like a desert rose colour. And don’t overdo the blusher,” adds Beck.
