QC completes 147 projects in Bangladesh

DOHA QATAR Charity (QC) completed 147 projects in Bangladesh in 2011 to improve water availability as well as sanitation and income generation for tens of thousands of people. According to QC Interna-tional Operations Executive Director Mohamed Mubarak Salem al Adsani, those projects were taken up in response to calls to help people in Bangladesh.

The projects were executed in different sectors and included a multi-services complex that cost QR600,000, different income-generating projects such as distribution of sewing machines, purchasing cattle for needy families, in addition to building mosques and digging medium and deep wells to provide drinking water.

Qatar Charity is a non-governmental organisation, founded in 1992 for the development of the Qatari society and help other needy people in communities abroad.

It works in the fields of sustainable development and poverty reduction, disaster relief and emergency help.
