INDIA´S national carrier, Air India Express hosted an award function to honour its top performing agents on Wednesday. India Ambassador to Qatar HE Deepa Gopalan Wadhwa was the chief guest on the occasion. VCUQ launches anthology of poems by GCC writers
THE Virginia Commonwealth University-Qatar (VCUQatar) on Wednesday launched an anthology of the contemporary Arabian Gulf Poetry called Gathering the Tide. The 366-paged collection features over 200 poems by 45 poets from Qatar, Bahrain, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Oman. It also features 47 translators. The book is edited by Patty Paine, Jeff Lodge and Samia Touati with an introduction by David Wojahn. The cover was designed by four VCUQatar graphic design students.
