POPULAR Tamil actress Vindhya and her husband Gopi alias Gopalakrishnan recently filed for divorce on the grounds of mutual consent in a family court in Chennai.

Vindhya and Gopi, who entered wedlock in February 2008, sought to end their marital relationship under Section 13(b) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. The couple had earlier approached the court separately. But now that they have filed for divorce on mutual consent, it is expected that the case would come to an end soon.
