Shakespeare returns to Katara on March 31

QNA

DOHA KATARA, in association with Globe Education, will present ‘A Midsummer Nights Dream’, one of William Shakespeare’s most popular works at 6pm on March 31.

The show will be followed by shows on April 1 and April 2 at the Katara’s Drama Theatre, Building 16. Tickets are now available at Virgin Megastores.

The Globe Education will also host five workshops for students on the sidelines of the event. The workshops will give students an opportunity to learn more about Shakespeare and his works.

Each session will take place prior to the performance.

The sessions will be open to public while two shows will be exclusive for schools. Tickets are available through the Cultural Affairs Department.

Cultural Affairs Director Dr Emad Sultan said, “We are proud to partner with Globe Education to offer this educational experience to young people. This event provides us with an opportunity to engage youngsters in this enthralling experience.

This initiative contributes to our wider visions of providing education and entertainment while building cultural bridges.” Globe Education is one of the largest education departments in the UK. Each year more than 100,000 people of all ages and nationalities participate in the Globe Education’s programmes of public events, workshops and courses.
