(ICEMHP) 2012 started at

Convention Center on
Monday. The opening ceremony
of the event will take
place on Tuesday in the presence

ORYX GTL held its annual
long-service award ceremony
to honour the employees who
have been part of the Oryx
GTL family for over five
years, at an enchanting function
at the W Hotel recently.
The 87 recipients of the
award had the opportunity to
share a night of celebration
and happiness in which Oryx
GTL executive management
and managers thanked them
for their support and contributions
to the seven years of
success the company has
had.

THREE computer programming
teams from Carnegie
Mellon University in Qatar
(CMUQ) participated in the
Second Gulf Programming
Contest (GPC ´12) held at
Khalifa University in Abu
Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
recently. Its teams Brainiacs
and Kufta, finished second
and third respectively, sharing
the winners´ podium.
GPC ´12 featured 42 teams
from around the Arabian
Gulf. Each team had 10
problems to solve over a fivehour
period. All problems
needed to be solved in the
competition´s official computer
programming languages
of C, C++ or Java.
