Gas Processing Practice award |  QATARGAS Chief Executive
Officer Khalid bin Khalifa al
Thani won the ´Excellence in
Gas Processing Practice´
award at the 3rd
International Gas
Processing Symposium
which ended on Wednesday.
The award was presented
by President of Qatar
University Dr Sheikha
Abdulla al Misnad in the
presence of Minister of
Energy and Industry HE Dr
Mohammad bin Saleh al
Sada, at the opening ceremony
of the symposium.
The award was presented
in recognition for the
Qatargas CEO´s leadership
role in innovations that have
had a significant impact on
the company´s operations
and on the gas processing
industry in general.

at the pavilion.
While touring the interactive
stand, CEO of MIPIM
Paul Zilk commended the
Qatari companies on the
success of their pavilion, a
first-of-its-kind structure at
the main entrance of the
Palais des Festivals.

Council (QGBC) celebrated
achievements of female engineers
at a conference organised
to mark the
International Women´s Day
on Thursday.
The conference, held
under the theme ´Women
and the Sustainable Built
Environment: Qatar
Prospects´, was organised in
collaboration with Qatar
University, the National
Association of Women in
Construction-Qatar (NAWIC)
and the Royal Institute
of British Architects-Gulf
Chapter (RIBA).
Speaking at the event,
Chairperson of NAWICQatar
Melanie Robson said,
