TRIBUNE NEWS NETWORK

DOHA SAUDI ARABIAN al-Nasr players Hussein Abdel Ghani and Ahmed Abbas visited ASPETAR (Qatar Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Hospital) recently seeking medical expertise of ASPETAR.

The two soccer players underwent scans to diagnose their injuries, and were accompanied by Nasr’s club physician Mohamed Riad Turki. Abdul Ghani, who captains Nasr and is a former Saudi Arabian national team player, praised the myriad world-class facilities that exist at ASPETAR.

Commenting on the treatment, Abdul Ghani said: “The highly qualified medical, scientific staff and the great facilities we enjoyed at this world-class institution, encourage us to continue to make it an ideal destination for high calibre treatment and rehabilitation.” Ghani also pointed out that he had come to ASPETAR two years ago for a longer treatment period, and that he experienced great care provided by the hospital’s medical staff who were keen to help him get back to the field to join his team who was recently in Doha.

Meanwhile, Ahmed Abbas said he was highly impressed by ASPETAR’s distinguished facilities and the services it provides for athletes locally, regionally and internationally.

Saudi Arabian first division team Nasr was recently in Doha for a training camp at Aspire Academy where it played several friendlies in preparation for its upcoming football encounters.
