MITSUBISHI Corporation donated
$180,000 to Shafallah Center
for Children with Special Needs
on Sunday.
The amount — which will be
used to purchase 16 made-toorder
wheelchairs for the Center´s
recently opened Day Care Center.

AROUND 200 staffers from
different departments of
Rumailah Hospital donated
blood at a blood donation
camp held by the Patients and
Visitors Service Center at
Rumailah Hospital on
Thursday.
"We came up with this initiative
to encourage hospital
staff to voluntarily donate
blood so that we can help
increase the supply in the
HMC Blood Bank," said
Salam Nassar, manager of the
Patients and Visitors Service
Center (PVSC) at the hospital.
"Blood donation is a noble
deed that saves lives, and we
want to be part of this endeavor
of saving lives. With the full
support of our leadership, we

NEW pictures were released
on Sunday showing Qatar
Airways´ first Boeing 787
Dreamliner on the assembly
line at the aircraft manufacturer´s
Everett production
plant in Seattle, the US.
Qatar Airways is the first
Middle East customer of the
Boeing 787, with 60 aircraft
on order, including options.
The Doha-based airline is
preparing to take delivery of
five 787s during 2012, with
the first set to arrive in Qatar
this summer.
Qatar Airways will initially
fly the aircraft on intra-Gulf
routes to provide flight crew
with training hours before its
787 goes on static display at
the Farnborough Air Show in
