50s with cars & memories IT was time to walk down the memory
lane at Katara on Thursday.
More than 50 vintage cars from the
1940s to the 1960s era were put on
display at the first Katara Classic
Car Festival. The cars were accumulated

AROUND 45 Academic
Bridge Program (ABP) students
and some staff spent
gave back to the community
as they cleaned the beach at
Smaisma recently.
The trip - a beach cleanup
barbeque - was part of the
sustainability campaign ABP
Student Services has been
leading since October.
ABP Assistant Director for
Student Services Moza al
Boainain came up with the idea
to have a beach cleanup to raise
awareness of the environment
among the students and to
encourage them to adopt a
more sustainable lifestyle.

day by picking up trash –
paper, plastics, metal cans in
bags that were provided by
