Al Muftah Group opens Charriol Geneve boutique at Pearl Qatar

SANTHOSH CHANDRAN

DOHA THEAl Muftah Group opened its new Charriol Geneve Jewellery and Watches boutique at Pearl-Qatar on Friday.

Noted jewellery designer and creative director of Charriol Geneve Coralie Charriol Paul inaugurated the new outlet.

Speaking to mediapersons, Paul said that Charriol’s new collections reflect the beauty of Arab tradition.

Coralie Charriol was in Doha as an invitee to the Doha International Jewellery & Watches Exhibition (DJWE) and to attend the grand opening of Charriol’s new outlet.

Born as a watch company in Geneva, Charriol has considerably diversified over the years to become a multi-product brand which, in addition to watches and jewellery, also makes leather goods, writing instruments, eyewear and fragrances.

“Traditional Arab Jewellery has influenced me much during my travels across the Arab region,” Coralie Charriol said, adding, “As we expand Charriol’s market in Arab region, our new collections will have the flavour of Arab tradition though we have no plan to introduce a specific design for any of the country in the region.” Invited to all international jewellery exhibitions across the world, Charriol Paul has been highly impressed with the Doha event. He said, “Doha International Jewellery and Watches Exhibition has turned to be one of best in the region. “Charriol’s market is booming in the Arab region.

Charriol will revive some of its popular cable-design watches shortly. Travelling and interactions with people in different countries have helped me to make new models.” Charriol Paul pointed out.

The new boutique at Pearl- Qatar should be a centre for a wide range of Charriol’s ‘Celtic’ watches for both men and women, ‘Parisii’ watches and ‘Marylin’ jewels for women.

The press conference was attended by Al Muftah Group directors Abdul Rahman al Muftah, Nazar al Muftah, Abdullah al Muftah, Hussein Muhammad, the manager of Al Muftah and Benoit Deroual, sales and marketing director of Charriol.
