DOHA OVER 150 qmedia and qmobility staff and 50 of their children celebrated the inaugural sports holiday at the Sheraton Hotel Doha.

They gathered on the hotel grounds to join in on a variety of exciting games and recreational activities. Adults participated in football, volleyball and tennis matches while the children engaged in a slew of recreational games and even had bouncing Promoting the health and well being of their employees and their families has been a focal point of q.media and q.mobility’s corporate social responsibility.

Emphasising the importance of having a healthy workforce, Sheikh Alhussein bin Ali bin Ahmed al Thani, chief executive officer of q.media and q.mobility, said, “We want our employees to be of sound body and mind not only for their own physical and mental well being, but also because it is in the best interest of all of us here at q.media and q.mobility to always be our best and most productive selves. That involves having both an atmosphere conducive to success and a holistic business model that takes into account the happiness of our employees - a crucial part of which is health and fitness.” The staff were encouraged to walk and run around the grounds and received a talk on health and fitness from a company representative.

Sheikh Alhussein further said, “We look forward to expanding our activities - both in sport and physical education - for National Sports Day in 2013. Given the excitement surrounding this year’s events, our employees will surely look towards next year’s activities with much anticipation.”
