Shehna wins women’s title

DOHA SHEHNA Girish outlasted her doubles partner Rejinah Aragyasami in three games to win the women’s singles title at the QBC indoor hall in Doha.

Shehna won the final by 21-14 20-22 21-16.

The champion faced some spirited rallies by Rejinah in the second game and won it to force the decider. Shehna controlled the proceedings and kept herself ahead before winning the game and the title.

Clement Koshy will meet Gilang Budi for the under-19 boys singles crown. Clement defeted Eka Yasrul with his power game and excellent placements 21-16, 21-10 to win the semi-final. Gilang tackled Hanad KC well and beat him by 21-15 21-16 to book his place in the final.

Annisa Ramadani and Al Maida Pamunkas had to struggle to beat Krishna Pramod and Kavya Nair in the under-16 girls doubles semi-finals 19-21, 21-18, 21- 18. They will meet Galuh and Nadira Salsabila in the final.
