Anupama Verma is the latest victim of ATM fraud.
She was duped of Rs 17.36 lakhs from her account
at an ICICI bank branch in Bandra, Mumbai. Two former
employees of the bank have been arrested for siphoning off
the large sum from Anupama, who is a ´wealth member´ of
the bank.
"I am a wealth member of the bank, which means I have a
relationships manager (RM) to handle all my transactions
and I do not have to go the bank myself. I do not use ATM
cards. I have been a member of the bank for the past fourteen
years and I have never used my card. They issued the card as
a protocol, in fact the ATM pin ... |

for AARP film awards | ELEVEN years ago, editors at
American Association of
Retired Person´s (AARP)
magazine entered
Hollywood´s awards fray
with the Movies for Grownups Awards.
The idea was to give AARP a bigger
presence in the movie capital while
working to change the image of ageing,
one of the association´s principal goals.
It was tough going, to say the least. As
recently as 2007, AARP The Magazine
was thrilled to get a dog to walk its red
carpet. The collie that starred in a littleseen
remake of Lassie arrived to accept
the prize – a golden lounge chair – for
the Best Movie for Grownups Who
Refuse to Grow Up.

her dream opportunity |
IT was a film Hansika Motwani would never have
thought of missing, even in her dreams. But she had to
decline the offer when it came knocking at her door,
because she has committed herself to two Tamil films.
Had she not been busy with these films, she would have
serenaded a stubble-faced Venkatesh in Shadow. The film is
directed by Meher Ramesh, who, the actress says, is like "my
brother". This is the other reason why Hansika Motwani feels
sorry to have not been able to work on the film.
"I share an excellent rapport with director Meher
Ramesh and he´s like a brother to me. I wish I were part of
the movie Shadow, but I just could not accommodate the
