QATAR Museums Authority (QMA) announced on Wednesday the opening of the solo exhibition of works by Takashi Murakami, featuring some of the artist´s bestknown works as well as specially commissioned pieces. Being held at the Alriwaq exhibition point in the Museum of Islamic Art premises, the exhibition will be open to the public from February 9 to June 24. Qatar posts 26% budget surplus as revenues surge
QATAR’S state budget turned a hefty surplus of 25.6 percent of quarterly economic output in the second quarter of its 2011-12 fiscal year as revenues jumped, data showed on Tuesday. The world’s top LNG exporter booked a surplus of QR42.2 billion in July- September 2011, reversing a deficit of QR2.2 billion in the previous three months.
