presidency of
UASA today |
QATAR will assume the presidency
of the Union of Arab
Securities Authorities (UASA)
for a period of one year starting
on Monday when the
sixth meeting of the group
will be held in Doha.
The meeting is expected to
focus on the necessity of
increasing the professionalism
of the securitised companies,
removing the obstacles
and facing the challenges of
investment in Arab securities
markets.
The meeting comes close
on the heels of recently
launched secondary market
for the small and medium
sized enterprises named QE
Venture Market by Qatar

| | Petroplus Coryton plant
to receive crude tanker |
PETROPLUS´S UK administrator
said on Sunday that it
had bought a cargo of crude
oil for processing at its
Coryton plant as it seeks to
conclude negotiations with
interested parties to save the
plant.
Switzerland´s Petroplus,
the owner of the 175,000
barrel per day plant near
London, has filed for
insolvency, and
PricewaterhouseCoopers
(PwC) has maintained operations
at Coryton since
January 24.

and will replenish crude
stocks refined over the last

refining operations whilst
we seek to conclude discussions
