TRIBUNE NEWS NETWORK

DOHA QATAR Islamic Bank (QIB) – the largest Islamic bank in Qatar and one of the top-five Sharia’-compliant banks in the world – has announced the opening of a new branch at the City Centre mall in Doha’s West Bay area.

The new branch is part of QIB’s ongoing strategy to develop and expand its branch banking network as planned for the year 2012 and beyond, said a press release from the bank, on Sunday.

This new facility will provide a complete range of innovative, secure and Shari’a-compliant banking services both for individuals, and corporate customers, the release said.

QIB’s Acting Assistant General Manager of Personal Banking Hassan Sultan al Jafali said, “The bank is implementing a geographical expansion strategy in order to reach its clients in pivotal areas in Qatar, and to provide excellent banking and financing services.”
