Rally ace Attiyah leaves for Sweden test
FEELING confident and upbeat, Qatari ace rally driver Nasser bin Saleh al Attiyah set out on Tuesday in pursuit of his dream World Rally Championship debut. Attiyah, who has joined world champion team Citroen with legendary driver Sebastien Loeb and Mikko Hirvonen, left Doha for his first test of his car in Sweden, which will hold the second round of the WRC series on February 9. Famed for his daring driving and big heart, Attiyah has been a former PWRC champion in 2006. Sudan reaches quarters first time in 42 years
SUDAN reached the quarterfinals of the African Cup of Nations for the first time in 42 years on Monday, beating Burkina Faso 2-1 to end an 11- game winless streak at the tournament and edge out Angola on goal difference.
