NBK employees’ kin attend family day

DOHA FAMILIES members of Nasser Bin Khaled’s employees gathered for a day at the office recently as part of a new concept for a family day where kids and family members join management and staff at the NBK headquarters for a tour of the premises and a close-up feel of the workplace culture.

In line with NBK’s commitment to nurture affinities amongst colleagues and ensure an innovative workplace system, the initiative was received with cheers from the entire personnel who worked hard to ensure a hearty welcome for the near and dear ones. NBK’s Family Day also included face painting, a staff party, and a range of giveaways for the young and old.

Abedelrazake Mawass, head of public relations at NBK, said: “At NBK, we firmly believe that our strongest asset is our human capital.

Therefore, we go to great length to ensure that our staff are not only exposed to the best career development opportunities but also to creative programmes that help bring them closer to the organisation. This unique NBK Family Day is definitely a great way for everyone to get together and enjoy a truly friendly gathering, share fun conversations and enhance team relationships.” A statement issued by the company said it has always placed high importance on building and sustaining a healthy workplace culture through which staff can bond, grow together and share common values and objectives.

The company has developed a series of initiatives and activities aimed at fostering team spirit such as the annual NBK bowling tournament, NBK football tournament, NBK health walk and the NBK Care to Share.

The company said corporate social responsibility is strongly embedded in its corporate strategy as it reaches out to various walks of the community to cover sports, philanthropy and education.

“This has been highly accentuated following the continued success of the NBK Ramadan tennis tournament, the NBK Ramadan charity drive and the internship opportunities that NBK offers to different students in Qatar on a yearly basis,” it said.
