Police chief meets heads of Arab delegations

DOHA DIRECTOR-GENERAL of Public Security Major General Saad bin Jassim al Khulaifi met heads of interior ministry delegations from some Arab countries on Sunday.
The visit was part of the annual visits to police institutes and colleges in accordance with the decision of Arab Interior Ministers’ Council to enhance the cooperation and exchange of expertise between Arab police agencies.
The Police Training Institute (PTI) received 31 delegates from Algeria, Egypt, the UAE, Oman, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Lebanon and Bahrain.
PTI Director Col Mohammed Abdullah al Mahanna al Marri and heads of the sections received the visitors.
Following a military parade, the officials were taken on a tour of the various sections of the institute accompanied the director.
They visited the crime scene section, sports section, Leaders Development Centre and Languages Centre.
Col al Marri explained to them the organisational structure of the institute and the proposed Police Academy. A film on the institute was screened for the visitors.
The guests also visited the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) department where the Secretary General of Permanent Committee on Drugs and Alcohol Affairs (PCDAA) explained its functions.
