practices, the Qatar
Green Building Council
(QGBC) hosted a delegation
headed by the Swiss Secretary
of State for Energy Walter
Steinmann.
The delegation comprised
three of Steinmann´s senior
aides and executives from 22
leading energy companies
based in Switzerland.
Jassim Telefat, treasurer of
QGBC´s board of directors,
received the guests at the
QGBC headquarters, where

National Geographic photographers
and experts from Qatar
University´s Environmental
Studies Centre to take photographs
of Doha´s Al Dhakhira mangroves.
Twenty-two high school students
and six teachers from the Qatar
Foundation International (QFI)-
supported Arabic language and culture
programmes in São Paulo and
Curitiba, Brazil, run by BibliASPA,
were paired with students from the
Qatar Leadership Academy and
Qatar Academy on an educational
exploration in Doha.
