Kerala forums pay tribute to Azhikode

SANTHOSH CHANDRAN

DOHA KERALA expatriate forums paid tribute to Sukumar Azhikode, veteran Malayalam writer, orator and scholar who passed away in Thrissur District of Kerala on Tuesday.

Indian Ambassador HE Deepa Gopalan Wadhwa also registered her condolence.

Speaking to Qatar Tribune, she said, “As a writer, educationist and social activist Azhikode’s contributions would be respected. He was fearless in his comments and fought against all social evils.” In a condolence note, Sanskriti office-bearers said that Azhikode was the voice and light of Kerala as the people always waited for his opinion on crucial social issues.
