Boeing 777 at Bahrain show | QATAR Airways showcased
one of its flagship Boeing 777
long-haul aircraft at the
Bahrain International Air
Show recently.
Thousands of trade and
public visitors attended the
three-day event which took
place at Sakhir Air Base in
Bahrain. Qatar Airways also
had a luxury chalet at the
show.
Now in its 15th year of
operations, the airline has a
modern fleet of 104 aircraft
flying to 110 key business and
leisure destinations across six
continents.
Almost a quarter of Qatar
Airways´ fleet is made up of
Boeing 777 Long Range and
Extended Range passenger
and cargo aircraft, forming
the backbone of its long-haul
fleet.

| | Shell donates oil & gas books to CMUQ | The library of Carnegie
Mellon University in Qatar
(CMUQ) recently received a
collection of 40 books on the
oil and gas industry from
Shell, in a step to reinforce
the ongoing partnership
between the two organisations.
The donation was initiated
by Saad al Matwi, a graduate
of CMUQ, who is currently
working at Shell and is a
member of the ´Ambassador
Committee´- devoted to
strengthening the relationship
between Shell and
Carnegie Mellon Qatar.

donation of books will help
raise the students´ awareness
on Qatar´s key industry, the

| | REMOVAL OF FUEL SUBSIDY IN NIGERIA
ILL-TIMED, SAY EXPATRIATES | Nigerian government
recently announced the
removal of fuel subsidy
which subsequently
increased pump prices of
petroleum products. The price of
Premium Motor Spirit (PMS),
otherwise known as petrol, especially
rose by more than 110 percent
from 65 naira to 141 naira.

by the Federal Government generated
