| | Djokovic, Murray, Tsonga move into third round | | MELBOURNE DEFENDING Australian Open champion Novak Djokovic looked the part on Thursday, easing through to the third round with a convincing win to join former finalists Andy Murray and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
World number one Djokovic was too strong for Colombia's 56th-ranked Santiago Giraldo, reeling off a convincing 6-3, 6- 2, 6-1 win in 1hr 42min on Rod Laver Arena.
The Serb, chasing a third consecutive grand slam after winning Wimbledon and the US Open last year, will face Frenchman Nicolas Mahut in the last 32.
Murray needed almost two hours to subdue Frenchman Edouard Roger-Vasselin in three sets, while Tsonga stormed past Brazil's Ricardo Mello in straight sets.
"Santiago came out early hitting the ball quite flat. But I knew that, you know, sooner or later he's going to drop the rhythm and I just have to hang in there. I've done a good job," said Djokovic. The top seed said he enjoyed playing in the Rod Laver Arena, where he has won two of his four grand slam titles.
"It is true from one side that when I step in there I feel that I belong there, that I know what to do, that I feel more confident maybe than the other courts around the world," he added.

| | Barca beats Real in Madrid | | MADRID BARCELONA came from behind to beat holders Real Madrid 2-1 in the first leg of an increasingly bad-tempered Spanish Cup quarter-final in the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday.
Second half goals from veteran defenders Carles Puyol and Eric Abidal overturned a half-time Madrid lead for whom Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo scored.
It was the third victory in twelve months for the Catalans in the stadium of their biggest rival.
Pep Guardiola is yet to lose in the Bernabeu in four seasons in charge and his team appear to have a psychological advantage over 'los blancos'.
Afterwards Guardiola was happy with the victory and looked towards the second leg. "We played really well tonight, controlled the game and apart from their goal reduced Madrid to the one header from (Karim) Benzema, but because of their quality anything can happen next week so we'll go home and prepare for that and the league game at the weekend," he said.

| | City faces Spurs, Arsenal to host Man U in EPL | | LONDON THE FINAL destination of the Premier League title could become a little clearer this weekend with four of the current top five facing each other.
Manchester City, three points clear of Manchester United at the top, are at home to Tottenham Hotspur, two points further back in third, while United travel to fifthplaced Arsenal.
For City, it's another chance to dent the hopes of one of their title rivals, with Spurs having lost ground last weekend when they could only draw at home with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Roberto Mancini said his side's 1-0 win at Wigan in midweek was a good result considering they have a number of injuries and that Yaya Toure and Kolo Toure are away on Africa Cup of Nations duty.
"At this moment we have a lot of players injured, we have a big problem and for this reason it is not important maybe to play very, very well, but important to do a good result," Mancini said after theWigan win."(Sunday) is a big game because Tottenham are doing a fantastic season. "They are a big team and it will be a fantastic match.
