DOHA THE Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani met foreign delegates at his Emiri Diwan office on Monday.

HH the Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent met House Majority Leader in the US Congress and Republican Eric Cantor, chairwoman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee Ileana Ros- Lehtinen and a number of other US Congress members on the occasion of their current visit to Qatar. Talks during the meeting dealt with ties of cooperation between the two countries and means of enhancing and promoting them.

HH the Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent also met a British delegation at his Emiri Diwan office on Monday. The delegation of the European-Palestinian Relations Council at the British Parliament under Baroness Jennifer Louise Tonge, the Liberal Democrat Member of Parliament for Richmond Park called to greet the HH the Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent on the occasion of their current visit to the country. Talks during the meeting dealt with ties of cooperation between Qatar and the aforesaid council.

HH the Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent met Board Chairman of International Islamic Charitable Organisation Dr Abdullah Maatouq al Maatouq at his Emiri Diwan office.

HH the Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent also received a written message addressed to the Emir His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al Thani from Cuban President Raol Castro pertaining to ties of joint cooperation and other issues of mutual concern. The Cuban Ambassador to Qatar HE Armando Vergara Bueno handed over the message during an audience with the HH the Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent at his Emiri Diwan office on Monday.
