Al Fakhoora helps 10 students give Gaza a voice at UNAOC
AS over 2,500 of the world´s top figures in government and civil society, academia and media gathered in Doha for the fourth United Nations Alliance of Civilizations Forum, ten students stood out. They overcame great challenges and navigated a stifling blockade to be able to attend the forum. Their mission: to give Gaza´s students a voice. This is also the mission of Al Fakhoora, an international campaign for education in Gaza, and the organisation that made the trip possible. For three of the students, it is their first time out of the 360 square-kilometre Gaza strip, which is roughly twice the size of Washington DC with more than eight times the population.
Over 60 delegates attend ´Run The World Youth Conference´
OVER 60 delegates and sport experts took part in the first edition of the ´Run The World Youth Conference´ promoted by Run The World festival at Katara, the Cultural Village, on Tuesday. A MAJORITY of Qtel´s programmes for this year´s Qatar National Day are aimed at engaging the younger generation and infuse a sense of national pride within them.
