Chris White from
England visited Qatar
Academy on Sunday to share
his work and talent with the
students.
He held workshops for
grade 4 and 5 students and
signed copies of his books for
them. He will continue the
workshops for the students
who could not hide their
excitement as White read
some of his poems to them.
During the workshop for
Grade 5, he showed the students
how to draw a picture
composed of different parts of
different animals. The drawing
consisted of ears of a rabbit,
elephant´s trunk, tail of a
gorilla, body of a turtle,
among other animal parts. He

compose a poem about this

home campus concluded a
visit to Doha and held a series
of meetings with the management
of the local campus that
marked the appointment of a
new dean and the next phase
of the university´s operations.
Dr Daniel Linzer,
Northwestern´s provost and
chief academic officer, led the
delegation that included Chief
Financial Officer Eugene
Sunshine, two new vice-presidents
and other senior officials.
"We arranged this visit
to celebrate new leadership in
Doha and to acquaint NUQ
with new and continuing leadership
on our campus in the
United States," Linzer said.
