THE recent Arab uprisings are different from the earlier revolts in the region, as for the first time the masses have made their voices heard in the world at large, noted scholar from Columbia University Rashid Khalidi has said. STUDENTS of five Indian schools in Doha excelled in the Class XII examinations conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for the academic year 2010-2011. While Jaskaran Singh Bhalla of the MES Indian School topped in the Science stream with a record performance, Vanessa Henry Fernandes from Birla Public School topped in the Commerce stream in Doha. Four hundred and sixty seven students of MES Indian School appeared at the examinations.
