QBC plans network of natural reserves
The Qatar Bird Club is working together with the Public Works Authority, Ashghal, and the Ministry of Environment to create a network of natural reserves, bird and wildlife sanctuaries in Qatar, including Abu Nakhla pond which is a potential Important Bird Area (IBA), the head of the sub-committee on conservation of QBC Brian Hunter said on Sunday. Speaking at the second General Membership Meeting of the club, in which the club launched its logo, Hunter said.
