City Center, traffic department launch safety drive
The management of City Center Doha (CCD) and the Traffic Department of the Ministry of Interior are collaborating to launch an awareness campaign among the public to ensure safer roads in the country. At a press conference held at CCD on Sunday, the City Center Manager Majd Machfej, said, "We issued around 100,000 stickers that say ´Drive Safe, Stay Safe´ to be distributed among drivers in different regions of the country.
ROTA volunteers go on trip to Cambodia
Students from Education City and teachers from Qatar Foundation, along with representatives of the Qatar-based NGO Reach Out To Asia (ROTA) left here recently for Cambodia as part of the ROTA volunteer trip to work with less-privileged children and help upgrade facilities at orphanages there. The members of the trip, which is being conducted in partnership with Education City, will work in Cambodia till March 25. This trip is part of the ROTA efforts to enhance access to quality education.
