The Ministry of Interior on Friday called on people in Qatar to avoid travels in private cars if the number of passengers (including the driver) is more than two.
In a tweet, the ministry urged the public to make sure that "no more than two people" travel in a private car.
This is the latest in a series of precautions the ministry has advised the public to follow to contain the spread of coronavirus, which has infected more than 8,500 people and claimed 10 lives in Qatar.
The ministry reminded that it was a "national and moral duty" of the public to adhere to preventive measures against COVID-19.
