Qatar Airways on Thursday said it flew Omani students from the US home on an agreement with Omani authorities.
“We sincerely thank Omani authorities for choosing Qatar Airways to ease the return of Omani students in Australia, New Zealand and the United States of America to the Sultanate of Oman,” a Qatar Airways statement said.
“We would also like to apologise for the misunderstanding that happened, as the Omani authorities contracted Qatar Airways to operate charter flights to the previously mentioned destinations to bring Omani students home.
“It is worth noting that Qatar Airways has the required licenses to fly to these destinations in light of the outbreak COVID-19.
“We affirm the strong and close relations that we share with brothers in the Sultanate of Oman, and we wish all safe journeys to their homes.”
