The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has made it mandatory for delivery companies in Qatar to comply with a set of procedures aimed at containing the spread of coronavirus.
The delivery firms have to read the body temperatures of their staff members twice every day and make sure the personnel wore masks and medical gloves while on duty. Orders are required to have the full name of the employees delivering them, while the items being delivered should be placed in disposable plastic bags before their delivery.
As per the ministry directive, the vehicles and other equipment used for the delivery should be sterilised.
While these measures are specific to delivery businesses, but falls in line with broader sterilization measures made mandatory for all commercial establishments operating in the country.
