The Supreme Committee for Crisis Management and the Ministry of Public Health have asked volunteers to register to join the National Volunteering Campaign themed, “For Qatar”.
The volunteers will help Qatar’s healthcare sector as the number of COVID-19 cases increases. “We need to stand together as a community and work to support Qatar’s public and private sectors during these trying times," stated the invite.
According to the invitation, the volunteers’ responsibilities will include medical practice (clinical), allied health practice, public health awareness, logistics, besides others.
The volunteers will be needed from end of March to end of June and will render their services across all patient centres in Qatar.
In addition, the volunteers will be needed for at least 14 days of eight-hour shifts over a 12-week period.
