Ministry of Administrative Labour and Social Affairs teams sanitised 232 accommodation facilities of workers in Qatar on the first day of a sanitising campaign aimed at curbing the spread of coronavirus in the country.
As part of the campaign, the labour ministry teams would inspect housing facilities to ensure appropriate measures are in place to prevent the transmission of the disease.
The inspection will be carried out by the Ministry of Administrative Labour and Social Affairs (MADLSA), in association with the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) and the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
In the meeting, the officials highlighted the importance of avoiding large gatherings and crowding at worship areas. They also called on the employees to organise activities to keep their employees within their work premises.
The officials urged the community leaders to advise members to make use of the information being updated regularly on the MoPH website (www.moph.gov.qa). They should also use the coronavirus hotline 16000.
The officials said people should use the ministry’s online platforms to bring forward their complaints such as issues to do with end of term benefits, besides any other issues.
According to the officials, people should use the MADLSA’s Amerni App for any complaints of transfer of sponsorship. The app is multi-lingual.
