A change in weather conditions across Qatar, brought by a brief spell of drizzle on Thursday evening, has sent a 'chill' down the spine for many.
According the Qatar Meteorology Department's latest weather report, "weather inshore until 6 pm on Friday will be relatively cold", with nights even colder.
"Offshore, there will be scattered clouds at times with a chance of scattered rain," the report said. It also warns of strong wind and high sea until the afternoon.
"Wind inshore will be northwesterly 06 to 16 knot, reaching to 20 knot at times. Offshore, it will be northwesterly at a speed of 15 to 25 knot gusting 10-20 knot by afternoon."
Visibility will be 4 to 8 kilometres, the report added.
"Sea state inshore will be 3 to 5 feet, falling to 2 to 4 feet by the afternoon. Offshore, it will be 4 to 8 feet, rises to 3-6 feet at times."
