The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in cooperation with IKEA, has announced the recall of "Troligtvis" travel mug over safety and security concerns.
The Ministry determined that Qatar’s imports of cups from Italy were free from the DBP chemical, which was found in cups that have been manufactured in India.
Within the framework of its efforts to protect consumers and boost safety measures, the Ministry has recalled all displayed and stored cups by the company. In agreement with IKEA, the Ministry will send samples for testing to ensure their safety. Consumers can return all cups to IKEA’s customer service for a refund or call: 8004532
The recall measures come within the framework of the Ministry’s role in supervising the recall of goods and products and taking the necessary measures in this regard.
The Ministry is also following up on its recall campaign to ensure that suppliers, commercial agents and accredited distributors take the necessary measures to repair defects and protect consumer rights in line with applicable law, mainly the right to health and safety when using goods and services. The Ministry is also coordinating with the company’s representatives to ensure it takes the required measures and repairs defects.
The Ministry invites all consumers to follow up on recall campaigns through the Ministry’s official communication channels, where advertisements and announcements are published.
